Sloppy typo in the Watchtower.

i was just wondering if this typo is in the us version also?

its in the 1 may 2002 watchtower p.31 on the far right block of text on the seventh line down:.

and members of the great crowd are not in the inner courtyard of jehovahs great spiritual temple, which courtyard represents the condition of prefect, righteous human sonship ot the members of jehovahs holy priesthood while they are on earth.. i know its just a small typo, but i have never seen a mistake like this before [to my memory] in the watch towers literaturehas anyone else?.

I was in the pressroom when I left in 1974, there has always been mistakes printed.

Then, most of them were "smash outs" when some of the letters caved in on the press. Which would then misspell words.

The press room overseer would ask how many were run off before the error was caught. If the mistake was a small one an ten's of thousands of dollars worth of paper were run off they let it go.

But typo's are very, very, rare. Because 100's of people read the copy before it goes to press.

Unless its so boring and repetitious, the proofreader says "screw it let the next guy catch it."

Its really the same stuff being printed over and over again anyway!

The man said in again “ I really thank God, I don’t believe the way you do.” I said, “why is that?” The man called over his son, the boy was about 10 years old, and the man put his hand on his son’s head, running his fingers though his blond hair. “Because” the man said “ I would have never had the pleasure of knowing my son, if I believed what you folks believe.” I said, “what are you talking about?” Then the man then pulled an old Watchtower from his pocket. “Well” he said “it states right here in your Watchtower,” and he began to read “ In view of the times we are living in, the society feels it might be not best to have children, being so close to the end of the system!” “Yes” he said one time, “ I’m so grateful I don’t believe the way you folks believe!” “Good bye” and he shut the door.

Trousers

since we have people from all over the world in here what was the opinion on sisters wearing trousers to the meetings and in field service, in the cong i used to go to it was frowned upon very heavily, although we could find no scriptual basis for it, was anyone allowed to wear them?

The society has been telling people what to were forever, In the “70s” we were not allowed to ware Levi’s at any time at bethel N.Y. The society loves to get in your closet, bedroom, or any other place they can!
